Bag Pipe Day

For Bagpipe day we listened to Celtic music and made gifts for the staff. They were bags that could be used to hold masks. The thank you notes from patients were attached with pipe cleaners.

Sweet Somethings

Last month we did not forget to celebrate Valentines Day. As always it can be a sad day, so we focused on things we love about ourselves and our lives.
We also did a dot art project to make heart trees.
In addition to cardio love songs to work out to, we chatted about famous couples and made nursing joke treats for the staff working that day.

CompliMints

On compliment day, we talked about how to give a good compliment, voted on whether it's more fun to give or receive them, and made gifts for the staff with tic tacs. The posters with compliments to tear off were also a big hit.

You're the Number 2!

In October our gift for the staff was useful and cute. We made pencil toppers from pipe cleaners. I ordered pre-sharpened pencils since we all know how useless an un-sharpened pencil can be.

Carat Day

On Carat Day we chatted about jewelry we've given, received, found, and lost. Patients and staff shared proposal stories. We learned about the 4 C's of diamond buying (hint: carat refers to weight, not size).

For Bingo their prizes were matching games of birthday gem stone cards.

After that, patients made thank you tags for jewel candy rings for staff. And of course, we listened to Neil Diamond.

Candy Grams

We take time to thank the staff, often with a gift such as chocolate bars for Hershey's Day or hugs candies for Give a Hug day. The patients enjoy giving even more than they enjoy receiving.
